Children are not just "little adults," they are age-specific individuals with age-particular needs. Recognizing this, Meridian Health was the first health care organization in the region to offer a behavior management and therapeutic play program for very young children.
K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital's Endocrinology Division provides comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care for children with a variety of endocrine disorders. In fact, we offer the only American Diabetes Association-recognized Pediatric Diabetes Education Center in the region.
Things we take for granted like a morning kiss or a story-time snuggle can be difficult for children with autism or other neurological and developmental disorders. The good news is help is available at the Child Evaluation Center. Families struggling with an array of learning, behavioral and developmental disabilities such as autism, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), language impairments, and Tourette's Syndrome can access a wide range of programs.
Our Pulmonology Division offers consultation, treatment, and diagnostic testing for children with pediatric pulmonary diseases. As part of the division, the Asthma Center provides pulmonary function testing and is a recognized leader in community outreach within schools across the region.
