Kathy Welshman is a Registered Nurse and Health Coach with Hackensack Meridian Integrative Health & Medicine. As a health coach, Kathy partners with clients to help create transformation and sustainable lifestyle change. It is her passion to empower others to obtain their optimal level of wellness through exploring 5 Pillars of Health and Well-being: Sleep, Activity, Purpose, Nutrition, and Resilience. Kathy believes that identifying one’s true purpose and values in life will be the motivating factor to create the desired change.
Kathy received a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Studies from Montclair State University, then later attended Ocean County College, where she received her nursing degree. Kathy is Board Certified by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center in Mental Health and has practiced for twenty years in this field. Seeking further education to learn more about integrative approaches to wellness led Kathy to study under Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona, Center for Integrative Medicine. She completed programs in Integrative Health & Lifestyle as well as Integrative Health Coaching. Kathy holds a National Board Certification in Health and Wellness Coaching.
Kathy participates in community events and panel discussions on self-care and wellness. She is a Reiki practitioner and practices T’ai Chi Chih to keep herself centered and grounded. As a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association, Kathy’s view on health is to focus more on wellness and prevention utilizing a whole person approach of body, mind and spirit.
